The South Korean court has ordered a partial ban on Apple and Samsung electronics as both have broken the law of copy right. Both Apple and Samsung are biggest competitors of each other. Apple was asked to remove the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad and iPad 2 from the shelves as they had broken law of copy right of Samsung’s telecommunications patents.
Similarly Samsung was also asked to remove Galaxy S2 and 9 other products as it had also violated one of the Apple’s patents that were related to screen bouncing back ability by the court. However sales of devices released by Samsung and Apple including iPhone’s 4S and the Galaxy S3 smartphones were not affected.
Both the parties were ordered to pay monetary compensation to each other i.e. Samsung has to pay Apple 25 million won and Apple has to pay its rival 40 million won.
