A Tokyo court has rejected the claim on Friday that Samsung Electronic had violated Apple Inc patent. This is the global biggest legal battle between two giant technology.
The South Korean Company has welcomed the Tokyo District court’s decision and they confirm that” they long held the position. “
Samsung has said in its statement that “they will continue to offer highly innovative products to consumers and they will continue to contribute towards the mobile industry’s development.”
However US company’s lawyer has declined to comment at present and it was not sure whether Apple would appeal immediately or not.
The Judge Tamotsu Shoji has said that he did not think that Samsung products fell into the realm of Apple technology and therefore he dismissed the case that was filed by US company in August last year.
In last week jury had awarded Apple $ 1billion in damages and now they are requesting on immediate ban on the sale of eight Samsung phones in US market.
In Japan Apple products are very popular among the consumers. Major Japanese carriers like NTT DoCoMo also sell Samsung Smartphones. Sony Corp the Japanese electronics company is in to making of smartphones using Android technology similar to Samsung.
